Nước làm mát ô tô là gì?
Nước làm mát ô tô là dung dịch đặc biệt được sử dụng trong hệ thống làm mát của xe ô tô. Nó có vai trò quan trọng trong việc giải nhiệt động cơ và duy trì nhiệt độ ổn định khi xe hoạt động.
Nước làm mát ô tô bao gồm nước cất và dung dịch ethylene glycol (hoặc propylene glycol) theo tỷ lệ nhất định. Ngoài ra, còn có thể chứa một số chất phụ gia khác như: chất chống gỉ, chất chống bọt, chất tăng cường độ nhớt,… Đồng thời, nước làm mát còn giúp giảm nhiệt độ động cơ giúp duy trì nhiệt độ ổn định và bôi trơn các bộ phận của xe ô tô.
Dấu hiệu cần thay nước làm mát
– Nước làm mát bị đục, chuyển màu hoặc có cặn bẩn.
– Mức nước làm mát thấp hơn mức tối thiểu.
– Động cơ xe nóng hơn bình thường.
– Quạt gió động cơ quay liên tục.
– Có mùi khét hoặc hơi nước bốc ra từ khoang động cơ.
Quy trình thay nước làm mát
Bước 1: Chuẩn bị:
– Để động cơ nguội hẳn: Việc này rất quan trọng để đảm bảo an toàn, tránh bị bỏng do nước làm mát nóng.
– Đặt xe ở nơi bằng phẳng, có đủ ánh sáng.
– Chuẩn bị các dụng cụ cần thiết.
Bước 2: Xả nước làm mát cũ:
– Mở nắp capo.
– Xác định vị trí van xả nước làm mát: Van này thường nằm ở dưới đáy két nước hoặc radiator.
– Đặt chậu đựng nước dưới van xả.
– Mở van xả nước làm mát bằng kìm hoặc tua vít.
– Đợi cho đến khi hết nước làm mát cũ chảy ra.
– Đóng van xả nước làm mát.
Bước 3: Rửa két nước:
– Pha loãng dung dịch tẩy rửa két nước với nước theo tỷ lệ khuyến cáo của nhà sản xuất.
– Đổ dung dịch tẩy rửa vào két nước.
– Khởi động động cơ và cho xe chạy không tải trong khoảng 5 phút.
– Tắt động cơ và để nguội.
– Xả dung dịch tẩy rửa ra khỏi két nước.
– Rửa sạch két nước bằng nước sạch.
Bước 4: Bổ sung nước làm mát mới:
– Mở nắp bình chứa nước làm mát.
– Đổ nước làm mát mới vào bình chứa cho đến khi đầy.
– Khởi động động cơ và cho xe chạy không tải trong khoảng 10 phút.
– Tắt động cơ và kiểm tra lại mức nước làm mát.
– Bổ sung thêm nước làm mát nếu cần thiết.
– Đóng nắp bình chứa nước làm mát.
Bước 5: Kiểm tra rò rỉ:
– Khởi động động cơ và quan sát kỹ hệ thống làm mát xem có rò rỉ nước làm mát hay không.
– Cần khắc phục ngay nếu phát hiện rò rỉ
Bước 6: Ghi chép lại lịch sử thay nước làm mát:
Ghi lại ngày tháng thay nước làm mát, loại nước làm mát sử dụng và số lượng nước làm mát đã thay.
Lưu ý: Quy trình này có thể thay đổi tùy theo từng loại xe cụ thể. Nên tham khảo hướng dẫn sử dụng xe để biết hướng dẫn chi tiết nhất.
– Nên thay nước làm mát định kỳ theo khuyến cáo của nhà sản xuất, thường là sau mỗi 40.000 – 60.000 km hoặc 2 – 3 năm sử dụng.
– Nên sử dụng loại nước làm mát phù hợp với khuyến cáo của nhà sản xuất.
– Không nên tự ý pha loãng nước làm mát.
– Đảm bảo động cơ xe đã nguội hẳn trước khi thay nước làm mát.
– Sau khi thay nước làm mát, cần theo dõi mức nước làm mát thường xuyên và bổ sung khi cần thiết.
